Tackle menace of PVCs buying

The recent reports that some politicians are buying up PVCs ahead of the 2023 election is disheartening.

While the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is working untiringly to provide PVCs for citizens to enable them vote, politicians are sabotaging such efforts by buying the PVCs.

Buying voters’ card is an offense that must be treated with all seriousness.

SPONSOR AD

Undoubtedly, the buying of permanent voter’s cards is another way of weakening the power of democracy in the country.

The government must take action against the buying of permanent voters’ cards and punish any candidate or political party caught committing such an unconstitutional act.

In addition, people should also be sensitized against selling their PVCs.
