Organisers of the 2019 Seamaster international table tennis federation (ITTF) Challenge Plus Nigeria Open have announced that the championship will hold from August 7 to 11, 2019 at the indoor hall of the Molade Okoya-Thomas Hall of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

According to the Main Organising Committee (MOC), the five-daytournament is set to be one of the biggest table tennis championships to be staged in Africa, with the world’s standout stars battling to be crowned Champions in seven medal events: Men’s and Women’s Singles, U-21 Men and Women singles as well as Men and Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

The 2019 Seamaster ITTF Challenge Plus Nigeria Open is expected to be exciting as some of the top ranked players from all corners of the globe go head- to-head, while all eyes will be on the home favourite, Aruna Quadri who won the tournament for the first time in front of home fans in 2018.
