Swedish Ambassador visits Uba Michael’s UBACLE Group, assures partnership

The Swedish Ambassador to Nigeria, Annika Hahn-Englund, was present at the just concluded Nigeria Oil and Gas conference where he visited the UBACLE Group booth and commended the company’s effort.

UBACLE Group participated at the conference where it unveiled its solar panels in the drive for adoption of renewable energy in the country.

The CEO of UBACLE Group, Uba Michael, had earlier visited the Ambassador in June where they discussed possible partnership between Sweden and the firm.

While speaking during her visit at the conference, Hahn-Englund said, “UBACLE Group is on the right path and we look forward to a partnership.”

She praised Uba Michael for his resilience and called on stakeholders in the energy sector to key into the company’s effort. She also promised to partner with UBACLE GROUP on solid minerals.

Speaking, Uba Michael, said the Ambassador’s visit was a morale booster that came at the right time.

“The Ambassador is something I’ve become close to because I visited her earlier to intimate her on what we are doing and she said her country was thinking in the same direction.

“We spoke at length that day, and her presence here today only strengthens the relationship and connection UBACLE Group and Sweden is building.

“Like she stated, we are heavy in the drive for the adoption of renewable energy. We know the damage fossil fuel has caused, so renewable energy is the now and the future.

“In reiterating her call, we are asking stakeholders which include the federal and state governments to key into this in the form of investments and partnerships and it is another way of driving economic growth.” He said

Also present at the meeting were the Executive Secretary of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Abuja, Mr Lekan Edunjobi; UBACLE GROUP Director Olusoji Adeniyi; Chairman of the UBACLE GROUP Advisory Board, Prince Seyi Lufadeju; and AVM Udeh Cletus.

Others are Shakti Mohanty, UBACLE GROUP Mining managing Director; Sweden Business Promotion Officer, Sarah Ibru and Charles Opusunju from the Nigerian American Chambers of Commerce.
