The new chairperson of the Society of Women Accountant, Abuja Chapter, Mrs Ugwunebo Ijeoma.P says SWAN will do all it can to uphold the integrity of female accountants and encourage younger people to come into the profession.
Ugunebo stated this during the investiture ceremony of the newly inaugurated members of the Society of Women Accountants, (SWAN) which held at Nanet Suites Abuja recently.
She added that a lot of people do not know that they can become chartered accountant without having a first degree in accounting. She promised that SWAN will help create this awareness during her tenure.
Mrs Ugwunebo Ijeoma.P will chair the affairs of SWAN, Abuja chapter with Mrs Taiwo Ojo as Vice Chairperson and 10 other members of the newly inaugurated executive committee till 2019.
The President of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria, Mallam Isma’ila Muhammed Zakari and his predecessor, Alhaji Kabir A Muhammed as well as the SWAN national chairperson, Alhaja Titilola Akiboye were present at the event.
