Kannywood veteran actress Farida Jalal has said that the decision by MOPPAN to suspend Rahama Sadau would not change anything from the way people are looking at the members of the industry.
In an interview with online publication, Kano Focus, the actress said this is not the first time that Rahama was suspended from the industry for unwanted acts and nothing has changed.
She said the leadership of the union has to find an appropriate way of punishing its members who commit offences like Rahama Sadau not just to suspend or expel them.
She added that people will never stop looking at Rahma Sadau as member of the Kannywood and whatever she did in future would be related to the industry.
“This is not the first time Rahama is doing this in the industry and nothing has changed. So I don’t think suspension or expelling will change anything.
“It’s worrisome that many of us in the industry have been abusing and cursing her while all of us are offensive in one way or the other.
“Whatever happen to her is from her own fault because she did something bad. But since she regret it and apologise then we need to forgive her,” she said.
She however called on her colleagues in the industry to unite and focus on the development of the industry, not abusing and cursing one another, adding that they should always put the teachings of Islam in their day to day activities.
