A former deputy speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Dare Kadiri, on Wednesday, disclosed that he had resolved to challenge his ‘illegal suspension’ by the assembly in court.
Kadiri, representing Ijebu North II constituency, was suspended last week, alongside Solomon Osho (Remo North) over a “breach of the assembly rights and privileges.”

Kadiri had written a petition which led to the ongoing trial of the Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo, by the EFCC over alleged N2.5bn fraud.
At plenary last week Tuesday, Oluomo announced the suspension of the two lawmakers.
In a statement he issued on Wednesday, Kadiri said corruption is fighting back at him.
He declared that “The EFCC case is just a preamble; more cases are still in the offing against the speaker.”
