Three suspected hoodlums have appeared before a magistrate court sitting in Norman’s Land in Fagge LGA of Kano State over alleged attack on a congregation attending the Maulud celebration, marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him).
They allegedly attacked a procession of the celebrants with weapons and inflicted injuries on some of them.
The suspects, Aliyu Abdussalam, Abubakar Adamu and Abdullahi Muhammad, were charged with conspiracy to commit crime, civil disturbance and inflicting injuries. They pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The presiding judge, Justice Umar Lawan Abubakar, ordered their remand in a correctional centre till October 21 for witness testimony.
