Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a 55-year-old, Ufoma Omene, over alleged gunrunning.
The spokesman of the command, SP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this to newsmen, said the suspect, who was arrested in Ughelli, was also a member of the Eiye confraternity.
He said a locally fabricated AK-47 rifle with a revolver-like magazine, 13 rounds of 7.6mm ammunition were recovered from the suspect’s residence.

Edafe also disclosed that three locally made guns, two pump action guns, one AK-47 magazine, 34 rounds of live cartridges and 51 rounds of AK-47 ammunition were recovered from two suspected armed robbers and kidnappers that escaped arrest.
