The President, Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN), Mallam Hussaini Dikko has urged members to block revenue leakages through corrupt practices by being professional in their dealings.
Dikko who gave the urge in Abuja at the weekend during his welcome address at the  2015 Annual Conference of Registered Quantity Surveyors tagged: ‘Strategic Options For the Nigerian Quantity Surveyor in the Next Two Decades.’
Applauding the federal government’s stand on corruption, Dikko said QSRBN must be in the vanguard against the monster called corruption, and must hold integrity in high esteem. 
He advised surveyors to strive to embrace cutting edge professionalism so they can reckon with others in the comity of nations. Dikko added that members should update their knowledge  since it remains the most important source of personal power.
“We must use our profession as a standard, this is because Corruption is pervasive in all sectors of our national life and you will be amazed at the wealth of this country, if we plug leakages that abound I form of bribery, looting, ghost workers and fraudulent procurement and the likes,” he said.
Dikko who maintained that the 2015 conference is the fifth that has taken place under his watch since 2011 said it is a gateway to reviewing previous developments.
 The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban development, Mr. George Ossi  at the occasion said improved infrastructure is a key target of the President Muhammadu Buhari  Change Agenda. He stressed on the need for building professionals  to promote resource optimisation and value maximization in construction project implementation.
