Surgeon jailed 27 years for swindling Konga N35m

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has sentenced an America-trained surgeon, Dr John Adindu Nweke aka Senator Haruna Bala Musa, to 27 years imprisonment for fraudulently obtaining 19 expensive smartphones worth N35 million from Konga Online Shopping Limited by false pretence.

The surgeon connived with one Kelechi Chetachi Emenike and defrauded Konga.

The police had told the court that Nweke, between 2015 and 2016 in Lagos, conspired with two others: Stephen AnekeIgwe (deceased) and Kelechi Chetachi Emenike, to fraudulently obtain 19 expensive smartphones and two cameras valued at N35m from Konga Online Shopping Limited by false pretence.
