According to him, “The private sector needs a more plain and enabling environment for business to thrive.”

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Abdullahi, indicated the assembly’s resolve to enact laws aimed at harnessing the potentials of youths and engaging them towards making useful contributions for national development.

The speaker, represented by his Deputy, Mr. Tsense Nehemiah Dandaura, said recent developments across the country clearly indicated that youths were becoming agitated for more involvement in governance, hence the need for government at all levels to redirect its attention on youths-driven policies that would engage them positively.

He said the state assembly was poised to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people, and that it would also focus on enacting laws that would support the diversification drive of government.

The wife of the Nasarawa State Governor, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi, commended the management of Khakima Special Rice, mostly made up of youths, for its foresight in coming up with such initiative, which according her, was in line with the industrialisation posture of the Engr. Abdullahi Sule-led state administration.

Represented by Hajiya Ramatu Dalhatu Musa, the first lady renewed the commitment of the present administration to support firms that were development-oriented through creation of enabling environment that would make them contribute to stimulation of the economy and create jobs for the teeming populace.

Some of the farmers: Sani Jauro Ibrahim, Abubakar Usman Sandaji and Mr. Imoh Obot, stressed the need for youths to embrace farming and desist from destructive tendencies and engage government constructively through creativity and innovations that would move the country forward.
