Support demand for power rotation in Kwara, AbdulRazaq told

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has been called upon to support the demand for zoning and rotation of power in the next governorship election.

The Advocates for Kwara North Governance (AKNG) made the call in a press statement signed by its coordinator, Mallam Ibrahim Adamu, a prominent APC youth, made available to Daily Trust.

According to him, Kwara North has been marginalised and neglected in the state’s political affairs since the return of democracy in 1999.

The statement further stated that Kwara North deserves a fair chance to produce the next governor of the state in 2027, in line with the spirit of justice, equity and inclusiveness.

The group urged Governor AbdulRazaq and other APC stakeholders to respect the wishes and aspirations of the people of Kwara North and support their quest for power shift in 2027.

They appealed to the people of Kwara North to unite and speak with one voice on the issue of power shift, and to resist any attempt to divide or distract them from their goal.

The group expressed its confidence that Kwara North has capable and competent sons and daughters who can govern the state effectively and efficiently, and bring development and prosperity to all parts of the state.

“We commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his exemplary leadership and performance in delivering his promises to the people of Kwara State.

“The Governor AbdulRazaq has shown that APC is the only trusted party that can transform the state for the better. We pledged our loyalty and support to Governor AbdulRazaq and APC in their efforts to move Kwara State forward”, it added.
