The Super Falcons had their first training on Monday under new coach Randy Waldrum at the Emir Hotels Sports Complex ahead of Wednesday’s opening match against CSKA Moscow in the Turkish Women’s Cup tourney.
This is also the Falcons first training session since October 2019 after they were eliminated from the Olympic Games qualifiers by Cote d’Ivoire at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.

Foreign based stars such as Turkey-based duo of ALG Spor striker, Esther Sunday and Adana Idmanyurduspor midfielder Ramat Abdulkareem underwent a light recovery session.
The Nigeria-based contingents arrived in Turkey from Lagos yesterday for the tournament.
On arrival, they were joined by head coach Randy Waldrum and captain Asisat Oshoala at the Emir Hotels.
Meanwhile, four players have withdrawn from the Turkish Women’s Cup, which starts this week in Alanya.
Atletico Madrid forward Rasheedat Ajibade and Benfica midfielder Christy Ucheibe pulled out due to administrative reasons, while Paris FC goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and Sweden-based Ngozi Okobi are injured.
The Falcons will then tackle Uzbekistan on Friday, before they play their final group game against fellow Africans Equatorial Guinea on February 23.
