Sunusi ‘Da Bull’ Ibrahim confirms Watford move

Nigeria’s junior international, Sunusi Ibrahim, has confirmed that he is set to travel to England where he is expected to sign for English Championship side Watford.

By revealing to our reporter that he would soon jet out to England, the national U-23 star confirmed SCORENigeria’s report on Tuesday that the bullish attacking winger will soon head back to the club that dropped to the championship at the end of the 2019/2020 season.

The former Nasarawa United star and joint NPFL top scorer has been outside of the radar since Nigeria crashed out of the U23 AFCON in Egypt last year.

The winger, who has been widely compared to former Super Eagles star Daniel Amokachi because of his all-action style, was previously linked with Danish second division club Fremad Amanger after a stint in a Russian academy.

Not long ago, the teen sensation was on trials at Watford and if he signs eventually, he would be linking up with Super Eagles assistant captain, William Troost-Ekong who only recently joined the Championship side from Udinese.

Ibrahim told Daily Trust on phone that barring unforeseen circumstances, he will soon be on his way to England to play for Watford.

Although he didn’t speak much on the imminent move, he said it won’t be long again.

“I am just back from training. It is also true that I will soon travel out to join Watford.

“I don’t have much to say at this time but I am confident everything will be alright,” he said.

It will also be recalled that other Nigerian players, Odion Ighalo and most recently Isaac Success played for Watford.
