The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has called on leaders at the three tiers of government to ensure and enhance justice and fairness to people as a panacea for peaceful coexistence in the country.

He made the call at the official inauguration of Jeans Central Juma’at Mosque at the Palace of Osana of Keana in Keana Local Government of Nasarawa State on Friday.

The Sultan, who is also the President General of the Nigeria Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs ( NSCIA), said, ” I am calling on Nigerians to desist from joining politics with religious issues and continue to pray for their leaders for the common good of the people.

“I am commending the people of Keana Local Government Area for living in peace regardless of their diverse socio religious beliefs.

“I am also calling for reintroduction of History as a subject in schools for generations yet unborn to know where they are coming from and how their forefathers live together in peace” said the Sultan.

In his remarks, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State commended the the Sultan of Sokoto for his relentless efforts in ensuring peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

The new Osana of Keana Palace Mosque was constructed by the 34th Osana of Keana, Alhaji Abdullahi Agbo to mark his fourth year on the throne.
