Three wheelchairs have been donated to a nine-year-old physically challenged orphan, Jibrilla Bello.
North-East Trust reports that the three wheelchairs were donated by Zenith Bank Plc, an Abuja-based woman, who prefer to remain anonymous and a Lagos-based business tycoon, Mallam Muhammad Garba.
Mallam Garba, who is the third donor, presented the wheelchair to the orphan through the Daily Trust correspondent, in Taraba State.
The businessman also donated the sum of N5,000 for uniform and other school items with a view to enrolling Jibrilla into primary school.
The boy who has enrolled into class one at the Central Primary School in Sunkani, while speaking with North East Trust in Hausa, said he was grateful to all those who assisted him.
He said his life has changed because before now he was begging for alms, but now, he is attending school.
“I never thought I would have a wheelchair, but now l have three and I also enrolled in primary school,” Jibrilla said.
Jibrilla’s grandfather, Mallam Suleiman Soja, thanked all those who assisted Jibrilla, saying the gesture had changed his life in many ways.
