He spoke yesterday at the commissioning of the APC Youths Vanguard office in Katsina State, where he represented former Head of State Muhammadu Buhari.
Dembo, who said youths have a vital role to play in strengthening the country’s democracy, added that their support will bring the necessary change the party represents.
The former minister said now is the time for youths to elect sincere people who will protect the interest of the masses, a position he said his party represents.
Dembo said only through free and fair election will Nigeria witness the much desired change that will lead to socio-economic growth and development.
“By the time the elders of the party are no more, the youths will continue to build on the foundation that was laid,” he said.
He, however, called on youths not to allow themselves to be used by politicians who lure them into voting for them or make them engage in violence.
National President of APC Youth Vanguard, Comrade Ibrahim Bello said the association was established to help unite youths across the country.
The state chairman for the association, Ibrahim Saulawa said the group will unite Nigerian youths to work towards defeating the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the next general election.
