The Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has received a Toyota Hilux Van to strengthen its engagement in the monitoring of schools across the 23 local government areas in the state.
The State Coordinator of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Mrs Augustina Sanchi, during the presentation of the van at the board’s headquarters, said that the turn of events at the SUBEB had led to the procurement of the vehicle.
Sanchi said she was hopeful that the monitoring of schools in the state will be strengthened.
“This will enhance school evaluation and monitoring,” she said.
In his remark, the Chairman of SUBEB, Comrade Joseph Utse, noted that procurement of the vehicle is a product of collaboration between UBEC/Benue State Government Intervention funds using the 2018/2019 Matching Grant for the purpose of quality assurance activities.
