The National Union of Lagos State Students (NULASS) and youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Epe Constituency 1, have thrown their weight behind a youth leader, Comrade Kamaldeen Olaide Lawal, who is aspiring to represent the constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2023.
At an event to endorse the aspirant in Epe, the youths said Lawal has the requisite skills and experience to represent the people.
National Chairman of Federation Students Association (FEDSA), Epe Division, Adam Edu, pledged the support of students from Constituency 1 had promised to work with Lawal to realize his political ambition.
Edu expressed optimism that the aspirant if elected would rekindle the hope of the people especially the student population.
He tasked the aspirants to prioritize the issue of scholarship for the constituents of Epe 1, lamenting that students from other constituencies are enjoying the scholarship while those of Epe are denied such opportunities.
The President of the National Union of Lagos State Students, NULASS, who is from Micheal Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED), Rufai Sulaiman, said the women and men from constituency 1 should see the aspiration of Lawal as their project.
He added, “If you vote in Lawal as one of the members of the Lagos State House of Assembly from constituency 1, your children or wards would be supported academically.”
A member of All Progressives Congress, APC, Noimat Olabisi, said Epe needs a youthful candidate to represent them in 2023.
Lawal, an indigene of Epe had his primary education in Epe and later attended Epe Grammar School. He studied Management Technology at Lagos State University (LASU).
He later obtained a Master of Business Administration in Financial Management (MBA) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).
