The team was also expected to brief the President on the ongoing negotiation and get his buy in on a new offer to be made to labour as negotiation resumes in earnest.

Among those sighted by Daily Trust were the Minister of Finance and coordinating minister of the economy, Wale Edun, the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Atiku Bagudu, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company limited, CEO NNPCL, Melee Kyari.

The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila is also attending the meeting.

Recall that the organised Labour had declared an indefinite strike on Monday, crippling economic activities across the country.

The leadership of the National Assembly had met with labour on Sunday night, where it pleaded with labour and asked the Federal Government to find a middle ground to resolve the impasse.
