Abdullahi Ali Amtai, media aide to former Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe of using Dankwambo’s name to attract sympathy from the people.
In a statement, Amtai scolded the APC for commending the former governor’s peaceful entrance to the state, saying Dankwambo’s entry only showcased his known attitude of peace.
He alleged that the APC released the statement just to attract sympathy from Dankwambo, PDP and their teeming supporters.
“It is on record that since assumption of office in 2019, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and his party has never spat a moral word on our leader and PDP as a party.”
“The recent hailing of Dankwambo and at the same time pointing accusing finger at Senator Danjuma Goje and Jamilu Isyaka Gwamna, displayed how this party is losing its voice and looking for a safe bed through Dankwambo,” he said.
Amtai added that Dankwambo and the PDP can only sympathise with the APC after their defeat in the 2023 general elections.
