The Labour Party has bemoaned the harassment of its members in Lagos State, threatening to take legal action against anyone caught in such an act.
The party’s caretaker committee chairman in Lagos, Mrs Dayo Ekong, disclosed this during the inauguration ceremony of the Lagos State 25-member caretaker committee.

She said, “They should put a stop on the harassment and attack on Labour Party members and allow peace to reign. We have a legal system that works, and we would make sure that nobody terrorises any member of the Labour Party.”
Addressing the issue of crisis within the party, Mrs Ekong said the newly inaugurated committee would ensure that peace is restored within its fold.
The state secretary of the committee, Sam Okpala, assured Nigerians that the baton of good leadership lies with the Labour Party.
