Okorocha, while reacting to some accusations levelled against him yesterday by Ihedioha through his media aide Mr. Chibuike Onyeukwu, reminded Ihedioha that Imo State cannot stop to exist because he failed to win.
Ihedioha had in his statement asked Okorocha to return all the state funds he “stole” since 2011.
But Okorocha urged Ihedioha to give peace in the state a chance, adding that those inciting statements could cause trouble but were carefully handled.
He said: “Ihedioha is not the only Imo man or the only Nigerian who ran the governorship election and lost. Imo State cannot stop existing because he failed election. He should face his case at the election petition tribunal like other candidates in other states and stop talking as if he is still on election campaigns.”
Okorocha described it as an act of wickedness for somebody to accuse him of stealing funds with the level of developmental projects in the state even when all the states in the country have been lamenting as a result of the economic or financial mess the PDP government had dragged the country into.
