Speaking in an interview in Kano, he said the trend has put Nigerians in perpetual fear and apprehension.
He said the security now is supposed to be wiser in their operations, saying “we heard that another woman was arrested in Katsina.”
He said everybody is now afraid, even President Jonathan is afraid because he could not even go to some places in the country.
Kwankwaso condemned the FG’s plans to borrow money to fight terrorism saying borrowing money is not a solution to the problem.
“What is happening now is not good for the country, our neighbours and the international community, everybody now is afraid, even Mr. President is afraid he could not go to Chibok.
“The issue of begging people to give money is not enough. Government should accept the reality which it does not want to accept for the reason best known to them. There is a co-relation between what is happening now and unemployment and poverty,” he said.
He also condemned the recent assassination attempt on General Buhari and Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
He said even in the south there is insecurity, adding that in politics someone “may need luck to win election but nobody can run any country by luck.”
Kwankwaso who accused Jonathan of politicizing the nation’s security added:”We want a more sustainable way of handling the situation in the North East.”
