Stock market losses N101bn

The Equities market of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) closed yesterday on a negative note, as the market capitalization lost N101bn to close at N12.393bn.

 The  NSE All Share Index  (ASI) depreciated by -0.81% to close at 35,664.94 basis points as against -0.44% depreciation recorded previously. Its Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stands at +32.71%.

Market breadth closed negative as AIRSERVICE led 20 Gainers as against 23 Losers topped by OKOMUOIL at the end of today’s session- an unimproved performance when compared with previous outlook.  

Market turnover closes negative as volume moved down by -24.73% as against -31.53% downtick recorded in the previous session. ZENITHBANK, ACCESS and UAC-PROP were the most active to boost market turnover. NESTLE and ZENITHBANK topped market value list.

A total of 19million ZENITHBANK shares exchanged hands for N463m. 12 million ACCESS shares   changed hands for N117m. While 6.8 million DIAMOND shares went for N7.9m

The summary of the market activities shows that, a total of 114 million shares, valued at N2.17illion, exchanged hands in 3,232 deals.
