The equities market closed yesterday on a positive note for the second day running, as the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Market Capitalisation records N741 million to close at N8,739 trillion.
The All Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 0.01% to close at 25,249.49 basis points, as against 0.34% appreciation recorded previously. Its Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stands at -6.04%.
Activities on the floor of the house saw about 131 million shares exchange hands in 2,700 deals valued at N2.7 billion.
Market breadth closed positive as CUSTODYINS led 11 gainers against 21 losers topped by FO at the end of the day’s session – an unimproved performance when compared with previous outlook.
Market turnover closed positive as volume moved up by 20.31% against 77.29% downtick recorded in the previous session. PRESCO, UCAP and TRANSCORP were the most active to boost market turnover. PRESCOand NB topped market value list.
