Steer clear of FCT, new police commissioner tells criminals

The newly posted police commissioner in the FCT, CP Sadiq Idris Abubakar, has assumed office with a warning to criminal elements to steer clear of the territory. 

 CP Abubakar, took over from Sunday Babaji, who has been redeployed by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Usman Abba Alkali. 

 A statement by the command spokeswoman, DSP Adeh Josephine, said the new police commissioner pledged to improve public safety and security across the FCT.

She said CP Abubakar was enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and has served the force and the country in diverse capacities.
