The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has won 12 out of 40 seats of Kano State House of Assembly, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) got three seats.
According to the results announced by various returning officers, APC won Albasu, Bunkure, Madobi, Rano, Gwarzo, Dambatta, Karaye, Makoda Sumaila, Garko, Kura and Kunchi/Tsanyawa seats.
The PDP won Bebeji, Kibiya and Gezawa state assembly seats.
In Albasu, the Returning Officer, Prof Mustapha Hassan Bichi, declared Yusuf Usman Bataiya of the APC as winner having scored 25,382 votes as against the 18,023 votes polled by PDP candidate.
The Returning Officer of Bunkure, Prof Nuraddeen Magaji declared APC candidate, Muhammad Uba Gurjiya as winner with 20,271 votes having defeated Isa Musa Kumurya of the PDP who polled 19,932 votes.
Dr Shehu Usman Yahaya, Returning Officer in Madobi, declared APC candidate winner having won 24,491 votes as against the 24,309 votes scored by the PDP candidate.
In Rano, the Returning Officer, Prof Mansur Auwal Bindawa, said APC polled 16,694 votes, PDP 14,892 votes and PRP got 1,401 votes.
The Returning Officer of Gwarzo local government, Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Kiri said APC polled 28,982 votes, PDP had 22,900 votes and PRP got 185 votes.
Prof Abdulsalam Abubakar Sadisu, who is Returning Officer of Dambatta local government, declared that APC polled 24,750 votes, PDP got 18,043 votes and PRP scored 2,843 votes.
In Karaye, Prof Bello Idris Tijjani, declared that APC polled 18,364 votes and PDP scored 16,1925 votes.
In Makoda local government, the Returning Officer, Prof Aliyu Sulaiman Kantudu announced that APC scored 22,633 votes defeating PDP candidate that polled 8,154 votes.
Other seats won by the APC are Sumaila, Garko, Kura and Kunchi/Tsanyawa respectively.
The PDP on the other hand won Bebeji, Kibiya and Gezawa seats during the poll.
