State Assembly: Oshiomhole yet to give candidates ‘form CF001’ – Amosun

Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun on Saturday alleged that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole has not given Candidate Form (CF001) to any of the 26 State House Assembly candidates.

He made this allegation barely 24-hours after the deadline given by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the submission.

“As at today November 03, which is 24 hours after the deadline for submission of names of candidates for the House of Assembly, Oshiomhole has not given INEC Party Candidate Form (CF001) to any of the 26 candidates who won the primaries for the ticket to contest for the Ogun State House of Assembly,” the governor said in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Saturday.

In the statement signed by his Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dayo Adeneye, Amosun accused Oshiomhole of “perpetrating another evil in Ogun State.”

Again, he insisted that Adekunle Akinlade would be sworn in as governor on May 29th, despite the National Working Committee (APC’s) final submission of Dapo Abiodun’s name as the gubernatorial candidate for the state.

Amosun who compared scenario which played out in Lagos APC governorship primary with that of Ogun questioned why Oshiomhole accepted that of Lagos and jettisoned the one conducted by APC executive in his state.

“Why will the same scenario be acceptable in Lagos State but regarded as self-help in Ogun State? Is it because it was executed by the Capo Di Tutti in Lagos State?, Amosun asked.
