A spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign, Daniel Bwala, has said stamp duty corruption will bring down President Muhammadu Buhari government if it is exposed.
Bwala stated this during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today.
In an interview with journalists in Abuja, a member of the House of Representatives, Gudaji Kazaure had said the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and some other agencies were making efforts to frustrate investigations done to the recovery of N89 trillion stamp.
But the Presidency dismissed the allegation of missing N89.09 trillion stamp duty, describing the Committee on the Reconciliation and Recovery of All Stamp Duties as illegal.

Bwala said, “If you look at the Central Bank, the revelation that came out through Kazaure, House of Reps member is quite instructive and by the time that can of worms of Pandora’s box is open it will probably bring down the whole government; because if you hear his confessional statement he has practically indicted the entire cabinet of the president.
“I am sure again that by the time the president goes beyond bureaucracy and looks at some unconventional ways because Central Bank is applying an unconventional approach, he will discover there has been inter-ministerial committee which has done nothing in that respect.”
