Stakeholders in Benue State have thrown their weight behind Governor Samuel Ortom’s administration move to privatise or concession the 25 government-owned enterprises.
The stakeholders, who include traditional rulers and local government chairmen from all the 23 councils of the state, yesterday reached the decision at a meeting in the Government House, Makurdi with the governor.

Briefing journalists at the end of the meeting, Governor Ortom pointed out that the moribund enterprises, if revived by competent individuals or groups, would provide employment opportunities and boost the economy of the state.
