Assistant Director, Intelligence and Operations of the NASS branch, Kabiru Sani while parading the suspect, said he was arrested by the SSS while parading himself as a security operative in the Assembly.
He said the man claimed to be working with all security outfits in the country, pointing out that he was being paraded to deter others from engaging in such ventures.
He said: “the operatives of the SSS arrested Suraj Abdurrahman, an indigene of Kwara State, on the 1st of July, 2009 at the premises of the Assembly while extorting money from unsuspecting victims. We discovered three Motorola walkie talkie, one handset with Glo simcard, one SSS logo and one earwig.”
