An unconventional school, the School of Politics Policy and Governance (SPPG) has revealed plans to train a minimum of 5000 transcendental leaders over five years in Nigeria and other African countries.
This initiative was made known by its chief executive officer, Alero Ayida-Otobo, during the Big Ideas Platform 2024 Agenda held at the Shehu Musa Yar’dua Centre, Abuja.
“Our target is to train a minimum of 5000 such transcendental leaders over five years in Nigeria and other African countries on our empirically designed curriculum of 140 multidisciplinary topics delivered in 10 months by 94 renowned academics, practitioners, and experts from around the world,” she said.
Speaking also, the founder of the school and former Minister of Education, Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili, said the school is focus on information technology and behavioural change.

“Technology is no doubt a game changer, playing a pivotal role in addressing significant developmental challenges across all sectors: from communication to commerce, medicine to education, security to food production, and more.
“Technology’s potentials are revealed every day. Its widespread adoption and unique applications are global and contextual.” she said.
In the same vein, the school has launched a blockchain-based certificate verification system aimed at enhancing the security, transparency, and accessibility of academic credentials.
The school says this innovative blockchain system responds to the proliferation of digital credentials and the increasing prevalence of credential fraud. The new advanced technology, funded by Sterling Bank, will help safeguard the value of certifications.
SPPG says each certificate issued by the school is securely recorded on the blockchain, creating a tamper-proof digital ledger that can be accessed and verified by authorized parties from anywhere in the world.
