It could be recalled that the state government said bandits had killed at least 222 and abducted 774 people and injured 226 others, including women and minors in the state, from April to June 2021.
The protesters were carrying placards with varying inscriptions written which include: ‘Carnage must stop in Kaduna’, ‘governments at all levels must wake up from slumber’, ‘El-Rufa’i is sleeping.’
The protesters said that all hands must be on deck to rescue the State.
In recent times, Kaduna State has turned into an epicentre of insecurity issues.
El-Rufai said he had to withdraw his children from a public school as a result of the escalation of banditry and kidnapping in the State.
