Farida Fasasi, the wife of the late Nigerian singer and songwriter Sound Sultan has celebrated her husband on his posthumous birthday.

The singer’s wife took to her Instagram account where she posted a video clip of her late husband, she also gave a heartwarming caption below the post.

She wrote; “Dear my sweet Lanre I choose to smile today. I choose to celebrate you today. I thank Allah for bringing you into my life. I am so grateful to God I got to meet an incredible human being. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the love. I pray Allah grant you Jannah love you aboo.”

Sound Sultan, born Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu Fasasi was one of the most popular artistes in Nigeria. The late singer, actor and filmmaker is also regarded as one of the pacesetters of modern-day hip-hop music in Nigeria. He was known for using his music to speak against corruption, bad governance, and societal ills in Nigeria.

The singer married Chichi Morah in 2009, after the marriage, Chi Chi converted to Islam and now bears Farida Fasasi. Their marriage is blessed with three kids, a girl, and two boys.
