Nigeria’s leading marketing communications agency SO&U won big at the African Cristal festival award which held in Marrakech, Morocco recently with its Mother’s Day ad that went viral in March 2018
The campaign, which profiled Nigerian mothers and their “secret weapons,” recorded over 2 million shares across social media with zero promotion and was arguably one of the most successful brand campaigns ever in Nigeria based on organic growth.
Clearly, it also resonated with the international jury of professionals over the weekend as it won Gold at the African Cristal Festival in Morocco.
SO&U was the only Nigerian agency to win in the African culture category with the mother’s day advert with its unique story telling on the importance of mothers in the African society and how their improvised rods of discipline instilled order in the Nigerian home and shaped future leaders within the society.
The advert, which had also received wide commendation from industry experts and Nigerians at large, received Gold from the international panel of judges who highlighted its unique ingenuity not just to the Nigerian home but Africa at large.
