Nigerian Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has accused his baby mama, Sophia Momodu, of constantly taunting him with the death of his first son, Ifeanyi.
Davido had dragged Momodu to the Lagos State High Court over the custody of their daughter, Imade.
The suit marked LD/1587PMC/2024 and dated April 17, 2024, has Mr David Adedeji Adeleke as the applicant, while Ms Sophia Momodu was listed as the sole respondent.
Via the suit, the entertainer urged the court to give an order granting joint custody of Imade.

Davido also urged the court to give the order to grant him unfettered unrestricted access to Imade.
Momodu claimed that Davido is unfit to raise their daughter in her counter-affidavit.
She alleged that his home is an unsafe environment for a young girl, referencing the tragic death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi, in 2022 as evidence of her claim.
Responding, Davido in a post via X on Friday night, accused Momodu of taunting him with Ifeanyi’s death at every opportunity.
He further expressed his readiness to let go of seeking custody of his daughter, stating that she won’t be a child forever and that she will see how he fought for her.
In another post, the singer said he’s not asking the court to give him his daughter but ‘joint custody’.
“Your constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point u can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us everyday of our lives .. Imade will grow up to see I fought for her .. as for now u can have her.
“P.S she won’t be a child forever .. enjoy ❤️ Imade Aurora Adeleke ! Your father loves you!
“All I asked for was ‘joint custody’ but cus it’s davido yall wanna act like yall can’t read! SMH I’m off this … yall be blessed and I pray this never happens to you,” Davido wrote on X.
The late Ifeanyi was the first son of singer, Davido and his newly wedded wife Chioma.
He was born in London, United Kingdom on October 20, 2019. His third birthday was celebrated barely two weeks before his demise, amidst fanfare.
