A Kano State Sharia court sitting in Kwana Hudu has remanded one Muntari Garba Riminkebe for allegedly beating his mother and threatening to kill her.
Muntari Garba, a resident of Riminkebe quarters area of Nasarawa LGA, was arraigned before the court by the Kano State Police Command on two counts charges of using force and threatening to kill.

The offences, the police said, contravened Sections 165 and 227 of the Sharia court.
He was earlier reported to the police by his mother, who said the son has been beating her and attempting to kill her.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The judge, Malam Nura Yusuf Ahmad, ordered that he should be remanded in prison and adjourned the matter until November 4 for a hearing.
