Son on song as Tottenham put five past Bournemouth

Tottenham Hotspur rose to second place in the Premier League table after a Son Heung-min double helped them to a commanding 5-0 win over AFC Bournemouth.

Christian Eriksen put Spurs ahead on 16 minutes at Wembley Stadium with a deflected shot from 20 yards.

Son Heung-min doubled the lead seven minutes later from similar range.

Both goals were set up by Kyle Walker-Peters on his first league start of the season and the right-back crossed for Lucas Moura to finish first time and make it 3-0 on 35 minutes.

Harry Kane got in on the action, scoring Spurs’ fourth after the break, before Son completed his second brace in successive matches.

Spurs move on to 45 points, six behind Liverpool while AFC Bournemouth, who lost Simon Francis to a serious-looking injury, drop to 11th on 26 points.
