Solution spelling bee: Chimwekele, 12, emerges champion in South-West

Twelve-year-old student of Woodland Hills High School in Lagos, Chimwekele Okoro, has emerged champion of the 2019 Solutions Spelling Bee zonal competition organized by Decipher Solutions.

The second position went to 12years-old Olusegun David, who is a JSS 3 student of Rise-Up College in Lagos while 12years-old Ibrahim Sholanke of Testimony Schools, Ebutte Metta in Lagos emerged third.

The trio emerged top three after three rounds of the spelling bee competition with 100 words to pick from in each round. Forty-one students participated in the first round of the competition, out of which 20 emerged top best to move to the grand finale in Abuja.

The top 20 contestants participated in the second round while 10 of them succeeded to the third round where Chimwekele, Olusegun and Ibrahim eventually emerged top three respectively at the zonal level..

All the students that participated in the South-West zonal competition were presented certificate by the organizers while the top 20 qualified for the grand finale in Abuja come July, 2019.
