Soldiers have arrested two bandits’ informants while recovering some rustled cows at Kurmin-Kare village in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
A community leader from the area, who confirmed the arrest over the phone to our reporter on Wednesday, said the two bandits’ informants were arrested at SCC village market in the area on Thursday.
He said soldiers had been trailing the suspects over two weeks ago, after they earlier escaped arrest at neighbouring Azzara village when soldiers raided the community.
He said the suspects went to the SCC village market in order to buy some items for the bandits when the troops arrested them.

The community leader said the soldiers also recovered some rustled cows at the village market after vigilantes alerted them on the animals.
“Although the suspect who brought the cows to sell fled on getting information that soldiers are coming to the market,” he said.
According to him, the cows were rustled from a Fulani settlement at Kurmin-Kare and that they belonged to one Alhaji Waikiki Moddibo.
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Hassan Mansur, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
