There are sizeable numbers of soldiers on Lagos roads monitoring the ongoing governorship and state houses of assembly, our correspondent can report.
Our correspondent, who drove round Akoka,Sabo,Oshodi,Mushi,Costain,Ikotun and Yaba area of the state, reports that there is no military presence on these roads unlike the presidential and national assembly elections which held penultimate week.
The only spot our reporter noticed military presence is Maryland junction and Onigbongbo in Ikeja.
Armed policemen replaced the soldiers on these roads and other parts of Lagos.
There is relative freedom of movement during the ongoing election, our correspondent also reports.
