Soldiers have gunned down three suspected bandits and rescued four of their victims in Nasarawa-Jibo Forest in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
A community leader, who preferred anonymity, who disclosed this to our reporter through telephone on Sunday, said the troops who were led by hunters from neighbouring Nasarawa-Azzara and Kurmin-Kare communities, invaded the bandits’ hideout and engaged them in a gun duel, which forced many of them to abandon their captives and flee.
