Soldiers have shot dead two suspected bandits’ informants while attempting to escape near Taka-Lafiya village near Janjala town in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State.
A resident of Janjala, Saidu Haruna, said the incident happened around 5pm during the troops’ clearance operation in the area.
He explained that the two suspected bandits’ informants were behind the rustling of over 100 cows belonging to one Alhaji Baban Jana and the abduction of some villagers in Kagarko’s neighbouring villages.
He said the troops upon getting information about the suspects who were on their way to neighbouring Mai-Ido village, opened fire on them as they attempted to escape.

City & Crime also gathered that the abductors of four traders and a nursing mother in Iche village, near Kagarko, have demanded a N15m ransom.
A relative of one of the victims who preferred anonymity, said the abductors called on Tuesday where they made the demand.
There was no response from the spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command on the incident and development.
