Soldiers have shot dead two suspected bandits and arrested one of their informants in Kurmin-Kare community in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
A community leader, who preferred anonymity, who disclosed the incident to our reporter through telephone on Wednesday, said the incident happened on Tuesday around 3pm following the arrest of an informant at the Katari market where he went to buy food items and drugs for the bandits.
He said the soldiers got intelligence information, trailed and arrested the suspect, who led them to a location where the bandits were billed to collect the items.
He further said, “At the point where the bandits were to collect the food items and drugs, soldiers opened fire and killed two of them.”

The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Hassan Mansur, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
