Three soldiers invaded a police station in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, to free some members of a cult group from police detention.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Wale Olokode, on Thursday, said the soldiers were arrested while attempting to release the suspects.

Olokode, who spoke through the Police Public Relations Officer of the Osun State Police Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, said the soldiers have been arrested and detained.
The PPRO said: “The three soldiers invaded our station at Obelawo area along Ikirun road in Osogbo to free some cultists detained by the police.
The PPRO said Police Anti-Cultism Unit thwarted the plot, arrested the soldiers and detained them at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
The Police spokesperson said the incident would be properly investigated and that necessary actions would be taken after the investigation.
