As a way of tackling problems militating against effective water supply, Sokoto state government has been urged to put in place enforcement mechanisms for tariff defaulters and water infrastructure vandals.
In a communique issued at the end of Urban Water, Sanitation and Hygiene WASH Media Network Round Table in Sokoto participants urged Sokoto state Water Board to block all revenue leakages to enhance service delivery.
Participants also noted the need for a synergy between the state Water Board and other relevant MDAs on the blockages of water pipelines and facilities.
It appealed to the media to sensitize water customers on the need to protect water facilities
