“We will also prosecute the owner of the premises and/or tenants in collaboration with other relevant agencies,” he said

According to him, the law required all owners of existing premises within the state to register such premises within 12 months from the date of the commencement of the Commission’s  operation.

He further said that, the law also required all prospective owners and occupiers to register and provide their full information with the Commission not later than seven days from the date of occupation.

“We want to ensure that, persons with dubious character do not operate or maintain any premises for the purpose of perpetrating illegalities, criminal activities or any activity inimical to security of our communities,” he explained

He promised to work with security agencies, traditional rulers, vigilante groups and civil society organisations to ensure the state was secured against any criminal act.

He stated that, the commission was necessitated by the prevailing security situation in the state and the country at large.

“No any sensible government will allow things to continue the way it is now.

“In our own part, we assure you that, we will do our best to ensure our dear state is safe,” he said, soliciting for support from the general republic.
