Around 12 noon, newsmen were asked to be at the state’s Government House by 3pm for the swearing-in of the Speaker as the acting governor of the state pending the conduct of election. However up till evening the Speaker and the Chief Judge of the state were not on ground for the event. The ceremony was later billed for 10pm but still did not hold. Government and court sources told Weekly Trust that it was shifted to hold today (Saturday). Though the state metropolis was calm and peaceful as at press-time, politicians were seen in groups discussing the Supreme Court judgment in many areas of the state metropolis. Many are yet to understand the judgment of the court.
