Sokoto state government and Goronyo Sugar Company have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of a new sugar factory in Sokoto state.
"We want to create opportunities for our citizens by setting up viable industries and supporting the private sector to invest in our state,"Governor Aminu Tambuwal stated at the signing ceremony st Government House, Sokoto.
The governor assured that all enabling environment had been created.
"We want to assure that all investors funds are safe here, " he said, adding"We will work together to see to the realisation of this important project within a reasonable time frame."
Tambuwal stated his administration’s commitment towards abiding by the letters and spirit of all agreements entered into.
The Governor commended the Minister of State for Trade and Investment, Hajiya Aisha Abubakar, for her keen interest in the project.
